                                            What you can expect during a session

 

 

During the first few sessions we will explore the nature of your life obstacles that brought you to therapy and create some attainable goals that you would like to move towards. This initial evaluation may last from one to three, or possibly four sessions. 

 

As we discuss your concerns, I listen to your story and create a custom intervention. The intervention is based on your current emotional needs, unique history challenges, and most importantly - your strengths. I am trained in a number of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focus Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Play Therapy.  My style is eclectic. I utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions to assist you in reaching your goals. I am open to incorporating mindfulness and other holistic ways of treatment into your therapy.  

 

I make every attempt to meet you where you are at in your life journey. I clearly communicate my thoughts in regards to the treatment and encourage you to provide feedback. It is my goal to make the treatment a collaborative and gentle process. Depending on the nature of the issues, the treatment may last from a few weeks to a few months or more.
